About the FPV & XR Owners Club of ACT

Who we are

Our membership base is drawn from owners of modern performance Fords (created by Tickford Vehicle Engineering and Ford Performance Vehicles, commonly known FPV). We enjoy driving them, modifying them, and having a good time.

Our club has a strong affiliation with John McGrath Ford and having a local dealership supporting the club, our numbers are sure to keep on growing.

Our main club events include, regular monthly runs - consisting of driving, socialising, BBQ'ing. We organise dyno days, track days, ten-pin bowling nights and other social events. We also attend the V8 Supercar rounds (Eastern Creek, Oran Park and Bathurst) as a club.

We also organise an Annual Show n Shine for modern and classic Fords here in the ACT. With just over 30 entrants, mainly consisting of club members in our first year, in 2003 we grew to a bigger and better 100 entrants in 2005. This was due to a much larger membership base, our attendance and support of other car shows in the ACT region and beyond and our advertising campaign of the Show.

With the internet being such and effective means of communication, we aim to utilise our website to its full potential. Most of our events are recorded on digital camera and pictures are posted on the website in our image gallery to show people what we got up to on the day, also for our members who may miss the occasional meeting or not able to make it to our general meeting, minutes to the meeting are sent our via email and posted on the website.

If we sound like the type of club you would like to be involved with our general meetings are on the 1st Thursday of the month at The Sports Club Kaleen at 7:30pm. So come along and see what we are about.
